Stunning looks of Tata Altroz leaves buyers mesmerized
Tata has unveiled the Tata Altroz just before the launch in January 2020. The carmaker has even offered details about its 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. The Altroz hatchback would get the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine later on. Also, the car would be the first product from Tata to be based on the new ALFA ARC platform. The new Tata Altroz premium hatchback has been unveiled in its production speculation. Though the launch has been scheduled for January, details of the design are available to customers. The styling of the Altroz is based on the Impact 2.0 design. The honeycomb mesh grille connects the projector headlights. The LED DRLs are integrated into the front fog lamps that are positioned on the front bumper. The Altroz has split LED taillamps that are linked by a black segment on the boot lid. The rear door handles can be found on the top corners of the rear doors. The roof is blacked out.
The Tata Altroz is expected to launch with 3 BS6 engines. Details of only 2 engines have been revealed so far. One of them is a 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine. Another one is a 1.5-litre diesel engine. 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels are being offered with the Altroz. Disk brakes can be found at the front, while drum brakes are present at the rear. The car is filled with safety instruments - driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and front and rear fog lamps. The middle passenger in the rear seat would get a lap belt only.
The instrument cluster has a 7-inch TFT display with colorful multi-info visuals and analogue speedometer. The dash has silver inserts around the vents. Some silver touch can also be seen on the flat-bottom steering wheel. There are media controls on the steering too. Some other notable features include automatic AC, cruise control, auto headlamps and push-button start-stop. There is ambient lighting on the hatchback, rear central armrest, front sliding armrest with storage and tilt-adjustable steering.
The expected price of Tata Altroz in India would range from Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh. It will be offered in 5 variants - XZ(O), XZ, XT, XM and XE. The bookings have already begun on 4th December 2019. Buyers can book their new cars at a price of just Rs. 21,000. The car is set to rival vehicles like the Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and Toyota Glanza.
