- The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
Maruti Ciaz is a car that helped Maruti transform their image in India. Initially launched in 2014, Ciaz has been a break through model for the company that had been prominent in the mid-size sedan space. After Hyundai introduced the new generation Verna, Ciaz witnessed drop in sales. Hence, Maruti Suzuki is working on a new car with facelift to be launched this year. With subtle updates, latest tech integrations and Suzuki’s newly developed 1.5-litre M15 petrol engine will round up the tweaks on the facelift. It is also expected to get all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The same engine will also power the 2018 Ertiga. The estimated price of this new car is around Rs. 8-10 lakhs.
- New Gen Hyundai Santro
Hyundai’s very first hatchback model, Santro is all set for its second innings in India. The car was taken off production in December 2014. This upcoming car in India is coming in with all new avatar. Apart from new polished aesthetics, the hatchback is expected to get new engines and will reportedly replace the Hyundai i10. Developed under the codename AH, this new car is expectedly powered with 1.1-litre iRDE and 1.2-litre Kappa units. In order to compete with other cars within the segment, it could also get an AMT unit along with a manual gearbox. The expected price of this car is around Rs. 4 to 6 lakhs.
- The New Honda Civic
Honda is launching the new generation Civic in the Indian market along with the new amaze and a diesel variant of CRV, in the year 2018-19. The vehicle was first unveiled at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. For the first time. This new car will get the 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine that will produce 118bhp and 300Nm of torque. The gasoline model will continue to feature the 1.8-litre i-VTEC unit that is good for 139bhp and 174Nm of torque. 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gears will handle transmission duties for this upcoming car. The new Civic is based on the new chassis making it lighter, stiffer and safer as compared to the previous model. This car is expected to be price somewhere in the range of Rs. 15-20 lakhs.
- Audi Q2
Audi is launching its compact SUV, Audi Q2 in India. Placed a notch below the Q3 in the Audi’s line-up. Q2 will be the smallest offering in the Indian market from the company. Packed with multiple features on comfort and connectivity aspects, this new car will generate power from the 1.0-litre TFSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI oil burner. Transmission duties are carried over by the 7-speed S tronic unit and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Q2 is priced in the range of Rs.25 to 35 lakh.
